Children of men

We’re salivating over this one. Children of Men is based on a 1992 novel by P.D. James, the UK crime novelist responsible for a slew of TV movies and mini series featuring her poetry-writing sleuth Adam Dalgliesh.

The story is about a childless world in the near future, where humans can no longer reproduce. The dystopian society is sent into chaos when Earth’s youngest person dies. A woman becomes pregnant for the first time in 20 years and becomes the most sought-after person in the world.

It stars Clive Owen, Julianne Moore and Michael Caine and is being directed by Alfonso Cuaron, who did Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Y Tu Mama Tambien.
