If Monkeys Could Fly

The Amazing Flying Monkey was voted (by whom we don’t know) ‘best toy of the year’ — which is understandable when you see the monkey rocket 50ft in the air screaming his furry little heart out. Someone should import a bunch of these for next Christmas, set up a stall at St Lukes and bingo! Fortune made.

I brought one early last year from a traveling sales person, fist time I have seen anything good in their shoulder bags for years. My monkey traveled though Europe for 8 months, giving me many fantastic flights. Sadly to save weight I had to leave it there for a few months till I returned this march. But by Christmas I was missing him badly, I thought over christmas there would be many sales people hounding me to buy them agian, but no. Until rummaging around a cool gift shop on Ponsonby rd (think it’s called the Garden Store, on the east side, opposite the pool hall) I found a whole box of them. $12 ea and I had as many as I could carry, most of my friends got them as gifts this year. I was in heaven again, and so was my monkey. :0

These were in the “Natures Discoveries” chain in NZ over Christmas, sold out quickly though.
