The world is a miserable place and now there’s a map that can pinpoint where there’s a plague, a terror attack, or an earthquake. Handy for nervous New Zealanders who can keep an eye on that fault line we live on — especially now that there are frequent rumblings around the Pacific ring of fire (ie Vanuatu, Japan, Matata, even Auckland).

The Global Trouble Map aggregates over 50 different natural and man-made disasters and misfortune in real time. Clicking on the icons gives a zoomed-in Google Maps view along with newswire info on the incident.
