Kermit the frog (actually he’s a Kermit impersonator, but if it’s good enough for Elvis…) sings Nine Inch Nails’ song “Hurt”. He’s pretty much sticking to the Johnny Cash version, which was produced by Rick Rubin. The Frog has always been a bit of a sad sack, even before he was owned by The Mouse, so this version suits him down to the ground.

It’s from Sadkermit.com, which also has audio versions of Kermit singing Radiohead’s “Creep”, Elliott Smith’s “Twilight” and “The Rainbow Disconnection”.

A warning though — the song is about drug addiction, so some images may disturb. In other words, don’t show the kiddies.

1 Response to “Video: Kermit Sings NIN’s Hurt”

Why do singers always have to pretend to be playing an instrument in their videos? They might think it makes them look more ‘real’ but instead they just prove what Record Company produced fakes they are. This video is a fraud – Kermit is clearly playing ’slap bass’ on a six string guitar!! I bet he lip syncs too …
