This was played at the White House Correspondants dinner last week (where Karl Rove joined half of ‘Who’s Line…’ for a gawdawful rap. This clip correctly lampoons how Americans no longer care for news, preferring instead ‘infotainment’. And sadly where America goes, so follows the rest of the world. If you think this is okay then you should watch ‘Hotel Rwanda’ on DVD to remind yourself what’s really important. here endeth the sermon
Having lived in the Us of A, and despaired of finding anything worth watching on 142 channels, and also finding that Americans did not seem to watch the evening news, this video is quite good. Most of their evening news is barely watchable, and as a Kiwi, I longed to see any news of the outside world, that did not involve the Middle East. But nope, not even Canada was worth a mention. The only time the rest of the world got a mention, was in the event of a major tragedy, or Paris Hilton doing something odd or illegal, outside of the USA.

Hey, I can’t find Kabul on a map either and I’ve seen Britney’s cooter. Is this really so awful?
