For anyone who wasn’t glued to C4’s coverage of Live Earth, AKA Gorestock. Or for anyone who fell asleep during one of the thousands of short films and Cameron Diaz interstitials included in said coverage. Anyway, here’s the Antarctic concert by Nunatak, a band comprised of scientists from the British Antarctic Survey at Rothera Research Station on Adelaide Island, Antarctica. Comments on the YouTube page point out that it wasn’t live footage — there’s only one cameraman and apparently it’s dark 24/7 down there during these wintry months.

absolutely brilliant, knowing the fun (and cold)you would have gone through to have done this, superb. your commitment to a cause, and for living at Antarctica over winter is commended. I have always wanted to work there for a year, this opportunity has yet to transpire! For those commenting re LiveEarth, read opening credits “produced for LiveEarth”
