Boombox Bag
posted by Steven Shaw at 11:52 am
Otherwise known by its more questionable name “ghettoblaster”, the boombox brought big sound portability to the streets during the 1980s and 1990s.
A classic boom box would play cassette tapes, and to a lesser extent radio, and was an essential item for any aspiring breakdancers or pop-lockers. Now you can lug around all the retro chic of a boom box, minus the weight — and without the worry of stocking up on D-sized batteries. Available from Kitschulike.com (note: their website is currently down, check out this post from Geekalerts while they sort themselves out).
And if the bag alone is not enough to satisfy your inner music geek, there are MP3 player compatible bags available, complete with speakers — here’s one example.
