A retro TV news report on the very early days of the Internet (Any guesses about when this would have been made?)

I'd guess that it's from '94/'95. It's based around Usenet and not the World Wide Web, which is what we think of as "the internet" today. I like how it's technically accurate and reports it as a cool new thing, rather than the "is your X safe?!" angle that seems to focus on most reports of the net now. Ah! I just googled it and it turns out it was from 1993 (wow!)

My goodness that list of make your own stuff is sad. Moisturiser is one of the worst/best on there. But it’s good that now I know how to make my own 3D glasses because I have SO many 3D glasses emergencies!

Didn’t you love how they described emoticons in that internet piece?

The follow up to the california oven door/tv guy is awesome – Canadian TV reporting on whether forcing mules to do a 24 foot high-dive is “animal cruelty” in Texas. No prizes for guessing the answer…
