51-year-old Lydon has the media’s attention this week after announcing that punk rock legends The Sex Pistols will perform at the Brixton Academy in south London on November 8.
It’s not their first reformation — the Sex Pistols played here, with original bassist Glen Matlock, in 1996 on the Filthy Lucre tour. I stood next to a biker, who wept during “Pretty Vacant”. It was an unforgettable concert moment, and the band was bloody great.
