JohnLydon“Listening to Stink try to squeak through ‘Roxanne’ one more time that’s not fun,” says John Lydon, AKA Johnny Rotten, referring to the current world tour by The Police.

51-year-old Lydon has the media’s attention this week after announcing that punk rock legends The Sex Pistols will perform at the Brixton Academy in south London on November 8.

It’s not their first reformation — the Sex Pistols played here, with original bassist Glen Matlock, in 1996 on the Filthy Lucre tour. I stood next to a biker, who wept during “Pretty Vacant”. It was an unforgettable concert moment, and the band was bloody great. Variety confirms the Justice League of America film will be directed by George Miller (Mad Max, er, Happy Feet). Aside from Batman and the Man of Steel, JLA will probaby feature Wonder Woman, the Flash, Aquaman and maybe Green Lantern. The stars of the revived Batman and Superman film franchises, Christian Bale and Brandon Routh, are unlikely to appear in the movie…
