Sandwich Crimes, T-Shirt Atrocities and Other Unpalatable Links

Sandwich Crimes: Check your fillings today.
Famous Battles re-enacted by food, from World War II to present day. Told through the foods of the countries in conflict — burgers for the USA, sushi for Japan, etc… (Thanks Brenda)
Bodywork in good nick for an ex-ram-raider: It may be a Burberry-clad Ford micro-class nightmare, but the copy for this online car auction is a master work. Here’s just a sample:
GOOD POINTS:
* Wheel at each corner
* Doesn’t explode on start up
* Converted to run on neighbours’ siphoned petrol
* Many fag ends in ashtray are of a still-smokeable length…
BAD POINTS:
* I may have lied about all the good points
* Does explode on start up
* Lurches ever-so slightly to the left when taking corners at over 70mph on estates…

T-Shirt Atrocities: An online retailer in the US has had to pull this appalling shirt (left) after a group of feminist bloggers rightly kicked up a stink and the retailer replaced it with this one.
Last Laughs: Celebrity gravestones, including Jack Lemmon and Rodney Dangerfield…
Is your child a tagger? Handy stereotyping graphic of what to look out for, like wearing a hoodie and Chuck Taylors, and carrying thick felt pens and various art supplies…
Video Link: Like Abu Ghraib, but with animals. Three US Soldiers throw a puppy off a cliff in Iraq. Awful. To reiterate, this video is real and graphic. You have been WARNED. And on the ethics of linking to it, here’s a good comment…

Notice the ’special’ T-shirt discount offered to the people at feministing.com. They’re really rubbing things in with their choice of discount code …

That t-shirt’s not the worst I’ve seen. I once saw a guy in a bar in Palmy wearing a t-shirt that said: It’s only rape if they live. And he couldn’t work out why the barmaid wasn’t serving him.

The You Tube video has been taken down. But I found an interesting trail of Internet Vigilantism and eventually found a Live Leak version.

While I find the video abhorrent, it pales in comparison to other larger atrocities in Iraq. And reminds me of the Police dog who was shot in downtown Auckland and the public outcry that ensued.

Is it safe to make fun of puppies and marines now?
