Waterboarding is torture after all: Writer Christopher Hitchens was of the opinion that waterboarding (enforced partial drowning), known to be perpetrated by US forces in Iraq and elsewhere was not torture but “extreme interrogation”. That mania guy is a dick. Puzzle mania is the only good thing about the herald apart form the Kropotkin crossword on Saturdays. Oh and Sideswipe of course. Obviously. *sounds of frantic backpedalling…*

Fry, I have something to confess. I’d seen this clip for a few days and dutifully clicked on play.

It’s good that Hitchens defines waterboarding as torture – but I suspect he considers contact with any non-alcoholic liquid to be torture.
