Vintage magazine spread unwittingly mocks America’s Next Top Model.

Choice products: A bubble wrap calendar.

Matt points to us to a Trade Me auction of note: “The art of multi platinum selling singing sensation YULIA is truly unique … in between performances, photo shoots and appearances Yulia paints … with her make up!”

You can view the work, titled “Midnight Salsa” here and buy it now for NZ$250. But you’d better hurry, the front-running bidder is keen. He wrote this in the Q & A section:

“Would you take requests for painting on commission? I would very much envy a portait of a bosomed woman aboard a fanciful unicorn. Is this possible?”

Hi this is Glyn. We assume you are joking and we had a wee chuckle. However, should you be serious, then Yulia would require a live model (I’m not kidding!) So if you can arrange a white horse and a suitable female model in a non erotic supervised (by myself) and safe setting then it might be possible. Suggest if you are indeed serious to use buy now on this auction to authenticate. Such commission would likely cost in the hundreds of dollars dependent on materials and travel. Regards Glyn.

Forget the terracotta planter, how about a zombie sculpture for your garden?

Telecom viral update: Although they couldn’t bring themselves to link to our Telecom story[Update: they've now linked -- thanks!], digital media agency 360 Interactive reckons some YouTube comments posted on the viral claimed to be from people who worked at McCallum and Partners — and those comments have now been removed:

“They said things like “I’m in this ad. We made two versions of this and can’t wait see the next one”. So why have these people since removed their comments? Surely they weren’t posted by interested parties hoping to convince the public the ad was really a consumer generated piece.”

This from The Smoking Gun: Lured by $1 beer and the prospect of “hot chicks” and “hardcore fights,” thousands of Arkansans were duped last month into appearing as extras in comedian Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest staged mayhem. His new film features his Austrian character, the faux-hawked Bruno — in that guise he also conned a former Mossad agent and a Palestinian academic into a spoof interview.

Video: No, they haven’t cloned Kath from Kath & Kim — it’s The Dancing Grannies fitness instruction video.

  • Famous and authentic says:

I think the other YULIA! auctions are even better than the painting auction.

    For her shoes:

“This pair of shoes were one of Yulia’s favourite for casual wear. These shoes are now an item of authentic memorabilia associated with the career of Pop Classical singer YULIA.”

Anyone want to be nice and buy me one of those zombie garden sculptures?

    ;o)

Those Dancing Grannies are terrifying. Are the support ones clones of the main one?
