The Idiot Test and Other Choice Links

German design genius: The ambience of this Travelmate Portable Fireplace that you can take almost anywhere. Anywhere you don’t mind lugging 25kgs, that is.
The Idiot Test is great fun. Don’t leave it until the end of the day, do it now … after a coffee.
Courthouse Confessions is a blog which posts pictures and interviews with people leaving the Manhattan Criminal Court explaining what they’ve done to get there. “And ummm, my case right now is uh that uh I got community service for going into the pool [on] 125th for trespassing because I was skinny dipping. I thought it was hot that was on 4th of July. I thought I was having a nice time but they arrested me for that.” More here.
British athletes go nude in a new advertisement for Powerade. Dontcha think they look like corpses? Or maybe it’s simulating the smog-effect?
The golf-ball sized Waboba Ball, is fast becoming a fad, thanks to folks uploading their antics to YouTube. The Telegraph (with video action) explains:
“The ball is about the same density as water and floats when at rest, but bounces high and true when thrown. It continues to bounce until it is caught or runs out of steam. Made of a combination of plastics with a lycra coating, it is described as having the consistency of a breast implant.”
DIY Promotional Tom Waits:
“…I must admit, before meeting Tom, I had heard so many rumors and so much gossip that I was afraid. Frankly, his gambling debts, his animal magnetism, coupled with his disregard for the feelings of others… His elaborate gun collection, his mad shopping sprees, the facelifts, the ski trips, the drug busts and the hundreds of rooms in his home. The tax shelters, the public urination… I was nervous to meet the real man himself. Baggage and all. But I found him to be gentle, intelligent, open, bright, helpful, humorous, brave, audacious, loquacious, clean, and reverent. A Boy Scout, really (and a giant of a man). Join me now for a rare glimpse into the heart of Tom Waits…”
This was from an interview with Tom Waits, written by…er, Tom Waits. Via Grow A Brain, which has more Waits linkage.
Video: The people who made Top Cat and Scooby Doo, Hanna-Barbera, made this too.

Apparently the Idiot test thinks I’m brilliant.
And freaked out by the anti-drug cartoon. I will never do drugs! I’ll just get drunk a lot instead!
And yes, the naked athletes all look…waxy.

The anti-drug video makes me want to do drugs.
