Thanks to Madman Entertainment, we’re giving away three DVD packs from the Great Australian Albums series. Each contains two DVDs — one covers the Go-Betweens classic 1988 album 16 Lovers Lane (that’s the one with “Streets of Your Town”, “Quiet Heart”, “Was there Anything I Could Do?” and “Dive For Your Memory”). The other details the making of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ 1995 hit Murder Ballads, the band’s biggest commercial success to date (with the Nick Cave/Kyie Minogue duet “Where the Wild Roses Grow”).

This documentary series brings together interviews from band members and associates, who walk you through the making of each album, letting you in on the personal dynamics involved, discussing arrangement ideas, where lyrical inspiration came from, and often talking about who got the pip with who…
