The Sinatras of Lower Hutt Are Selling
posted by Ana Samways at 9:03 pm
A massive 430m2 gin palace in Lower Hutt is for sale and includes an avocado bench top, wood panelling galore, an aqua–coloured intercom beside the toilet and a vinyl padded bar! I can’t see anything in the photo tour that’s post 1975 – even the TV and stereo are retro!

Check out the listing here. Make sure you take in the full slideshow.

No disrespect to the inhabitants, but does anyone else get the feeling a serial killer lives there? 8-/

Oh my GOD! The bathroom! The bathroom!
Imagine the parties they must have had in this house??

That house is pure genius.
I LOVE the study, you could imagine the husband Darrin from Bewitched putting together another pitch for a client in Manhattan.
And was that a breakfast nook?

I want this house! I will buy it and change NOTHING! It is perfect.

The bar is by far the best feature – even the blenders etc under the bar are 1973. Should be compulsory for the new owner to change nothing and keep the furniture. Is that a Philips K9 TV set?

It’s like a time capsule!! My grandparents had a table exactly the same as the one in photo 9.

Ain’t it stunning. My parents had their house decor just like that back in the day.
Brings back so many memories…hmmmm.

Nothing says “I love you” like a salmon pink toilet.
The only thing new in this house (as far as I could tell) is the phone, everything else is circa 1972. Such a beautiful specimen of that era. Weird that its in Lower Hutt. Okay, actually I take that back.

Whoa! The wallpaper in that “games room” just gave me some sort of seizure. My right hand feels tingly. Is that normal?

Check out the date the house was built – 1960.
