The previous resident of my bed filled in my menu card (he presumably died rather than eat the dinner) and I got two suspicious-looking sausages (somewhere there are two small horses limping and wincing) covered in a blanket of hidebound gravy. It was actually possible to lift one corner of the gravy blanket and pick up the snags that were attached to the "liquid". This was, naturally, accompanied by watery mashed spuds and a mound of mashed swede that would strike terror into the sternest of colons. I reckon had I eaten it, I would have spent another 3-5 days in hospital.
