Strange: Photoshopping birds with arms. Just because.

Film: Scooter from Quadrophenia sold at auction…For how much?

The West’s Family Album: Making a bit more cash out of Outrageous Fortune, South Pacific Pictures are releasing a book about New Zealand’s favourite fictional bogan family in August. The contents include Cheryl recipes, Pascalle’s handbag contents, Loretta’s blog, Van and Munter’s Tool Guy code, Ted’s tips on gambling and the complete West family tree. Sound like a stretch; but still bound to be a best seller. I can see the Outrageous Fortune drinking game going cult.

Dirty bird going healthy: It’s Zinger Double BBQ Bacon and Cheese Burger has 2410mg of salt. The suggested daily intake of salt for an adult is 1600mg. Read more here.

Extrapolating the nine-day fortnight: British Airways want its 40,000 staff to work for free for a month. Cue Tui billboard catch cry.

Reality TV awfulness: She’s Got The Look – Next Top Model for the over 35s… and Battle of the Bods a show of unprecedented awfulness, which ranks women according to their bodies.

Politics: Handy graphic claiming to show how Iran’s political system works. It’s complicated. And Boston.com’s The Big Picture blog on the election violence in Iran.

Video: This preacher has a new angle…rock music is evil.

Kenny Loggins and Michael J Fox are devil workshippers. LMAO. How old is this vid? He’s not telling us anything new that “Rock n Roll is evil” Preachers have been spouting that crap since the 50s

Isn’t that Boston.com “Big Picture” blog the best? The readers of boston.com have been exposed to many more world topics than our network tv stations have shown us. I look forward to every new set of photos from conflicts around the world to shots of Mercury.

British Airways might have a leg to stand on by asking employees to wrok for free if, during the good years, they had given out bonuses that doubled the pay of their workers. But they didn’t.

  • Susan says:

I’ll give you the awfulness of Battle of The Bods but the other one is no more awful than any other model show on tv.

  • Altero says:

The video reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uR_2wEnqzbU

…it’s the track Destroy Rock n Roll by Mylo, which samples the ‘Invocation for Judgement Against and Destruction of Rock Music’ by the Church Universal and Triumphant.

The preacher’s audience appear awfully unmoved by his words – are they mannequins?
