Metro Retro and Other Choice Links

Metro Retro: Despite the pull of the cynical launch ploy (nakedness/local TV drama combo) I haven’t rushed out to buy the latest Metro. But I am pleased Felicity Ferret is back and on Twitter. She’s anonymous, which is the way a gossip columnist should be. Saves hating on a real person. The highlight of her tweets thus far:
“What this town needs is a decent celebrity sex tape. Thinking the Evers-Swindells and Simon Dallow. Well, maybe not Dallow.”
Meow. Still wondering who the rodent really is, since she looks set on fleecing tweets — in other words mining Twitter for gossip — to fill her column inches. Any ideas?
Photos of the dead: Victorian mourning photography where the dead are propped up and made to look as if they were “just sleeping”. The photograph was often the only photograph a family would have of the deceased loved one, says Mental Floss.
Neurotic eaters (come on ladies, you know who you are) can now compare the nutritional data of two food items. Go here.
Things I would buy: This dinner set.
Media: This is how science reporting works…
Mini me: Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon for ages 3 up…

Video: German Folk Band cover Soft Cell’s ‘Tainted Love’ …Oh and while you’re at it, watch a brilliant cover of Katy Perry’s Hot N Cold here.

I’m very convinced it’s Bridget Saunders- a convenient retirement from gossip writing in May and then suddenly Felicity Ferrit pops up again in Spring…. Also must be someone who has been on the scene for a long time given the history…
