I’d be pretty pissed if I was him and this wasn’t planned. How is he meant to get right answers with her distracting him like that! Then if he gets an easy one wrong he looks like an idiot! If I was another contestant I’d be pissed about the wet willy thing – gee I wonder what the answer is… as she comes towards me with her ear… giving the contestants (even the cute ones) the answers must be against the rules, right?

If you thought it was scripted watch it again. Her skin flushes on her face. She’s hot for him. Imagine what she said off air. She’s clearly a confident lady who speaks her mind. I’m also guessing she gets on well with the other people on the other end of her ear piece and they were winding her up. They got to her good and we saw the effect of it.

If the host had been a male and the contestant female the guy would have been hung, drawn and sacked immediately. I’ll bet that any attempt to punish her in any way would be called sexism. Equality swings both ways.

As for his uniform, I suspect that because he was being introduced as a Navy pilot then he would be required to wear his dress uniform.

This is fail on many wonderful levels. Why is the guy wearing a uniform? Is he on duty? Or is he showing his patriotism and pride in serving his country by wearing it everywhere? He walks a fine line, between being seen to be patriotic, and being seen to be using his uniform to promote himself.
Regarding the interviewer, if she is trying to be funny, she fails miserably. Yes, if the roles were reversed this would have caused at least a minor stink.
I’m cynical however and believe most of these shows are scripted, so if they are, it means there were others who thought this was a good idea. If so, i’m not sure which is scarier, their incompetent judgement, or their inability to make me laugh even with such fertile material…

I’ll agree he is hot, but if a male host behaved like this he would have been fired. Americans wear their uniforms because their proud to serve, it’s frowned upon and probably not permissable to do it here, I think in all countries you have to make a formal request to your superiors to do something like this in case you embarass them

To be fair the guy is kind of hot…a bit clean cut and skinny for my liking but I can see why Meredith V likes him.
