Game on: The makers of Trivial Pursuit bravely went with the ‘Battle of the Sexes’ cliché to promote their new online game site, to try and work out who is smarter – men or women. You’re first asked your gender then a trivia question, with your score being added to a worldwide tally. Don’t try and pretend to be the opposite sex and answer the questions wrong, because only correct answers are added to the total.

Local: Another example of Rodney Hide selling out his name, says a reader. “I wonder how much it costs nowadays to get a Government Ministers endorsement?”

Strange toys: It’s disturbing to see there is a toy (presumably for adults) of a chopped up woman in a bag, ready to be disposed of . http://woondu.com/some-really-weird-toys/

Diversion: The Hierarchy of Digital Distractions.

Local: New Zealand, the brand (like Adam Parore ‘the brand’) is the 4th best apparently – behind Australia, Cananda and the US according to Future Brand. The survey looks at how a country’s brand is perceived. Broken down, New Zealand is considered one of the top five countries for safety, natural beauty, families, environmentalism, and outdoor activities and sports, as well as being one of the top five countries people want to visit or return to. More here from Tourism NZ.

Video link: IT Crowd bloopers from season one are almost better than the show! Especially when Moss does the Mumblety Peg scene.

Favourite new blog: A local one keen on collecting poignant, life-affirming twee-ness from all those pseudo philosophers that loiter around the FB interwebs…

Video: Bambi wanders into the Lion enclosure at a zoo…
