Kitty-Daisy-Lewis

Looks like UK sibling trio Kitty, Daisy & Lewis have a groundswell of support from Auckland music fans. Tickets for their show at Auckland’s MonteCristo Room on Wednesday 16th December have already sold out and promoters say there will be no door sales. The good news is that a second Auckland show has been added, on Tuesday 15 December.

However, the Kitty, Daisy & Lewis show will not go to Wellington. Presales were slow, resulting in cancellation of the capital city show planned for Tuesday 15th at San Francisco Bath House.

It’s the trio’s first visit to New Zealand – not so surprising given that their ages range from late teens to early 20s. Their music is a mix of mostly 1940s and 1950s swing and Rhythm & Blues, with a dash of Sun era rock and roll and Hawaiian boogie thrown in. It’s a family affair too: joining them on stage are their mother Ingrid Weiss on upright bass and father Daddy Grazz on acoustic guitar, alonf with legendary Jamaican trumpet player Eddie “Tan Tan” Thornton.

Tickets for the second Auckland show go on sale today — available now from www.undertheradar.co.nz, and from Real Groovy and Fast & Loose from 18 November.
