Alison Mau Bites Back

posted by Ana Samways at 10:50 am

Alison Mau keeps her composure while giving the tabloid media a bitchslap over their stalking of her on Breakfast this morning.

She singles out Woman’s Day editor Sarah Henry and asks her when the harassment is going to stop. “Just give me an idea when the dog will be called off and me and my friends and family can go about our business without having a creepy guy in a Corolla stationwagon following us around,” she says.

And nice to see Rachel Glucina’s concern over this, so genuine…

Do these journos challenge one and other to competitions in lowness, like some some kind of morality limbo competition?

  • Michael says:

Please tell me that Sarah Henry is no relation to Paul Henry?

  • Rex Widerstrom says:

I loathe the gossip mags generally, and those that pry into private lives specifically.

But having been on the receiving end of Alison Mau’s “ethical standards” as a journalist, any tears I cry would be of the crocodile variety.

Mau has survived for years in the “long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs” by behaving little better than those about shom she now complains.

Sure, they’ve gone further, she (admittedly amongst many, many others) helped take “journalism” down this path.

  • Bearhunter says:

Michael: Rest easy, they are not related.

  • Michael says:

    Thank you.

  • Diane says:

Sarah Henry in an interview, admitted that not everything they publish in Womans Day is truthful. It’s up to we the public not to buy that sort of garbage journalism and demand with our dollars something ethical and substantial.

  • Robert says:

Homosexuals like Alison and Tamati should not be allowed on public television. I am pleased to hear of the dismissal of Steve Gray from Good Morning. One out, two to go to restore NZ journalism to its former glory.

  • Ana Samways says:

    You’re a funny guy Robert!

  • Becky says:

I disagree with Robert, although I donot condone homosexuality because of my beliefs, I also believe that they’re also people too! why should Tamati and Alison leave television just because of their sexuality, they’re excellent presenters and stephen gray should come back, he made the good morning show entertaining and worth watching, now with this new guy not so much, no point watching it now

  • Alex T says:

I love the woman on the right’s disapproving head shaking. So funny! Bless Ali Mau though I think she handled that quite well
