Funeral Home Fun and Other Choice Links

New website: Please Rob Me.com is a new site chronicling people who tweet they aren’t at home, inadvertently tipping off burglars. The idea is raise awareness of the issue in the hope people won’t tweet information that could endanger them or their possessions, but even so I think it will backfire. Burglars are already taking advantage of people’s willingness to friend random strangers on Facebook. A Reuters story suggests as well as information about trips away, people were posting party photos showing the interiors of homes and also chatting about their cool new purchases and presents.
“I call it “Internet shopping for burglars.” It is incredibly easy to use social networking sites to target people, and then scope out more information on their actual home … all from the comfort of the sofa,” said reformed burglar Michael Fraser in a statement.

Gotta give Len and Linda credit for making ’swinging’ appear very run of the mill – almost boring. The press usually trumpets it as some out-there activity but these guys are proof you can appear deadly dull and still be raging swingers.
