Speaking ill of the probably dead: I was appalled that well-connected fashion designer, business woman and publisher Annah Stretton commented to the gossip pages about missing (and presumed murdered) woman Carmen Thomas, a former employee… “She was duplicitous,” Stretton was quoted in the Herald on SUnday Spy pages. “Carmen would always have these big, outrageous stories that sounded completely untrue.”
Was it a case of loose lips or was this quote off-the-record (or did she say it at all) ? Either way it went down like a bucket of cold sick around our breakfast table, especially as news pages were reporting a grisly and tragic end to the life of the young mother.
Picture this: The Playboy Land Yacht is O for Oresome.
Environment retro-ness: This 1962 ad for the ironically-named Humble Oil and Refining Company brags that it produces enough energy to “melt 7 million tons of glacier”, according to the website.

I am not surprised that Stretton person did not take the opportunity to express her concern and sympathy to
Carmens family – especially her boy who is now growing up without a mother. That would have been the decent thing to do.

LOL… you say, Rachel Glucina said, Annah Stretton said…. Whoa.
A quick google attributes one comment you made to Glucina. The other only appears at Spareroom.
If only the second comment is true then in isolation that could have a lot of meanings.
I’m not sure posting the comment was fair for either lady.

This has been totally taken out of context , as i would have expected .. Carmen worked for me for a few weeks I barely knew her , she simply seemed to have a few challenges Unbelieveable the shit that the media spin !

It seems that Annah Stretton’s attitude is as ugly as her clothes. I was appalled that she would says such a thing. And even here when she has an opportunity to say “it was taken out of context of course I am so sorry that that happened to a Mother and daughter” instead of just going “unbelievable media spinning shit”.
