Dancing At The Movies
posted by Ana Samways at 9:30 amA brilliant montage of dance scenes from 40 movies. Footloose was one of the very first movies I saw at age 14 (there was no movie theatre in Balclutha). It was on a school trip to Dunedin to the bread factory and I feel deeply in teenage love with Kevin Bacon. (Shame about Swayze and the fags).

Swayze passed away due to cancer (which he said probably had something to do with him being achain-smoker)

When I was at uni there used to be a gathering in the communal TV room to watch RTR Countdown on Sunday(?). When Footloose was no. 1 a whole bunch of the girls would sigh when Mr. Bacon danced into shot…
