Shirley Stocksdale and the Sofabed and Other Choice Links

Craft becomes Art: This creative blogger crocheted this scene, in response to a newspaper clipping which tells how seventy-five year old Shirley died when she got her arm caught in a sofa bed and could not reach the telephone.
“These days, there are many online articles about individuals meeting death in odd ways. The news items float by like terrible-yet-quickly-forgotten ghosts. But this 2001 newspaper article has haunted my thoughts for nine years,” says Howie from woowork.com
I ask this question every day around 5pm. What the Fuck Should I Make For Dinner is a site that offers meal suggestions, links to recipies and a bit of swearing.
Revenge Products: Everything from remote control interceptors to a potion called the Evacuator and Liquid Roadkill. Nasty stuff, go here.
This week I feel like Mary Bale: Remember the lady who put the cat in the wheelie bin? “Bale is currently subject to that most severe of modern punishments/forms of praise: Memeification,” writes Mashable.com. “Negative memeification can be doled out for a variety of offenses: spilling some oil, comparing oneself to Shakespeare, interrupting a pop star, etc. Yup, there’s few things that the Internet will not latch onto if they’re funny/shocking enough to be spun.”
Celebrity: What happens to pictures of Mariah Carey in Saudi.
Video: Mattress ad FAIL
And one of my favourite actors Philip Seymour Hoffman does his own version…

Phil needs to work on his method. He didn’t quite get that ’smack’ sound right when the guitar breaks. His face plant was better tho.
